KXSC Review:
Oh man, I remember the first time I saw Japandroids. I was at CMJ 2009 with John Scott at a Polyvinyl showcase somewhere in Brooklyn…it was raining, and we got lost in a slightly scary neighborhood, but we found it, this amazing venue that looked like a re-purposed barn with theme drinks like “Mellow Gold” and “Surfer Rosa” and tallboys of Red Stripe. To cut a long story short, it was awesome. Japandroids rocked hard and the audience, including myself, loved every second of their enpowering-stadium rock-yet DIY sound.

This album is no different from their live shows or previous album/singles, if you love Post-Nothing, you’ll love Celebration Rock. Lots of anthems, nostalgia, and catchy hooks.

RIYL:
Cloud Nothings, lots of “whoa-oh-ohs”
