KSCR Review: Cold Cave is seriously one of my favorite “new” bands out there. Forget Girls. Forget Neon Indian. You need to jump on the Cold Cave train before P4K latches onto them and they suddenly aren’t “cool” anymore.
—Katrina Bouza
All joking aside, Cold Cave blends the wonderfully dark elements of the post-punk world with lovely, lush and ambient synth beats. It’s dancey, but kinda reminds you of the goth kids on South Park in a good way, of course. This has the potential to be liked by everyone at the station —- punk kids, indie kids, electro kids. The title track is ripped from the Book of Ian Curtis for serious. RIYL: New Order, Joy Division, Throbbing Gristle, Crystal Castles, The Cure, Glass Candy, Kraftwerk
