“Laughing in the Face of Failure” is actually a collection of the two most recent albums from Bullets and Octane. This first CD, labeled the “Bullets” CD is a re-release of their 2007 record “Song For the Underdog.” Although Bullets and Octane are Punk / Hard rock band “Song For the Underdog” is a somewhat more indie-pop influenced record. The songs are bigger and antemic, and not quite as hard as on the record that follows it (see CD 2 of this collection). However the music is still catchy with good hooks and punk vocals. It’s a good collection of songs that lands a bit more on the poppy side than the hard side.
